B level classes are designed around a structured classical ballet class.
BI level builds upon BI training using the ballet barre.
BII classes develop students' technique, vocabulary, flexibility, and coordination.
BIII classes ensure the student’s mastery of the fundamental movement methods.
BIV level students are promoted according to individual progress in acquiring technique and strength.
BV level classes are for advanced students. A minimum of 4 technique classes per week is required.
C level classes present the dancers with a more challenging vocabulary.
Boys’ classes are available to male dancers ages 6 and up in the Student Division. The Centre believes that these classes are essential in the development of a young male dancer’s technique.
Prep level classes provide an introduction to ballet vocabulary and move at quick pace. These classes are designed to help escalate students’ knowledge of ballet so they may join BIV classes.
Level-appropriate ballet technique classes are mandatory in order to add a pre-pointe class. Students may advance to pre-pointe with instructor's recommendation only.
Two ballet technique classes per week are mandatory in order to add a pointe class. Students may advance to pointe with instructor's recommendation only.
The Centre for Dance Education offers optional discipline classes for students interested in jazz, modern, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and musical theatre.
For students ages 13 and up, the Student Division now offers pay as you go teen classes in ballet.
