Mission Statement
Atlanta Ballet’s Centre for Dance Education exists to open the world of dance and ballet to the broadest possible community through superior dance education, professional training and community engagement – meeting students of all ages and levels where they are in their artistic and educational journeys.
Vision
To transform the future of dance by creating a robust and diverse pipeline for future stages and by opening the hearts and minds of the community to the art form of ballet.
About Us
Founded in 1996 by former Artistic Director John McFall, the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education (CDE) provides an opportunity for everyone in the community, no matter their age or experience, to discover the joys of dance. The CDE instills confidence and self-awareness that will help anyone achieve their goals and dreams.
Since its founding, the CDE has become one of the top dance education facilities in the country and continues to set a high standard for excellence. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance, the CDE has world-class faculty and a challenging, comprehensive curriculum designed to inspire future dancers. Students also receive the special benefit of rehearsing with and observing the professional company and learning the ins and outs of being a professional dancer.
Atlanta Ballet is a magical experience. Every day, aspiring dancers take part in the CDE’s programs, moving closer to achieving their dreams. Each and every studio, from morning to night, is filled with youthful exuberance and talent. Every day, life-long friendships are formed. Words cannot describe the power of witnessing the future of dance firsthand.
The Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education is committed to inspiring excellence.
