Develop your technique and artistry with the official school of Atlanta Ballet, the longest-running professional dance company in the United States.

Interested dancers ages 11 and up are invited to audition for admission to the Atlanta Ballet Summer Intensive Programs. All advanced intensive and professional program classes are held at the Michael C. Carlos Dance Centre.

Faculty & Mentors
: Atlanta Ballet Summer Intensive students train with current Atlanta Ballet artistic staff, company dancers, Academy faculty, and guest master teachers.

*2025 Summer Intensive instructors and mentors will be announced in due course.

2025 Summer Intensives

5-Week Program: June 23 - July 25, 2025

Summer Intensive 2-Week Program
2-week Program: June 23 - July 3, 2025

Summer Intensive 3-Week Program
3-Week Program: July 7 - July 25, 2025

The Atlanta Ballet Summer Intensive Program develops an advanced-level dancer’s technique and artistry. Dancers train with classical ballet technique classes Monday through Friday while exploring other dance styles and genres. Supplemental classes include pointe, variations, partnering, modern, contemporary, character, hip-hop, musical theater, and wellness workshops.

Dancers who attend the full two-week, three-week and five-week programs will have the opportunity to learn repertoire and perform at the end of the program.

Housing and meal plans are available to all dancers ages 13 to 20 for an additional fee.

2025 Professional Intensive

Professional Summer Intensive 5-Week Program

5-Week Program: June 23 - July 25, 2025

Pre-professionals and professionals may be considered for our Professional Intensive. Acceptance into this program is by invitation only from the Centre Dean or Artistic Director. This program provides the dancer with an opportunity to train as a company professional and is focused on building repertoire and thorough training with master teachers to perfect technique. Dancers perform at the end of the five-week program and are considered candidates for the full-year Academy program and Atlanta Ballet 2.

Our programs offer a diverse, challenging curriculum taught by experienced and motivating faculty to produce the best, most well-rounded dancers. Past classes include pointe, partnering, Men's classes, modern, contemporary, character, repertoire, musical theater, hip hop, and wellness workshops.

Performance opportunities are offered at the end of each session at faculty discretion.
