Preparatory
Preparatory level dance classes provide an introduction to ballet vocabulary and move at quick pace. These classes are designed to help escalate students’ knowledge of ballet, so they may join BIV level classes.
More Information
The Preparatory program is an introductory level for middle and high school students who are new to ballet or new to the CDE. This fast-paced class focuses on building basic vocabulary while challenging the dancer to perfect more complex movements. Students are promoted according to individual progress in acquiring technique and strength. It is mandatory that students take a minimum of two 1.5-hour classes per week. Three 1.5-hour classes per week are recommended. Placement class required for new students.
To participate in Spring Concert, students must enroll in one of the Spring Concert classes indicated below (*). Students can only perform in one piece per ballet block. All enrolled students have the opportunity to participate in Spring Concert. Rehearsals begin in January 2026.

Regular (All families, May 5 - Aug 10): $50
Late (All families, Aug 11 onward): $75
Spring Concert Fee: $200 due October 20, 2025
Late Deadline: $220 if paid by November 17, 2025

1 Installment: $2,199.25 (5% discount applied; valid through Aug 11)
2 Installments: $1,157.50 per installment (1st due at registration, 2nd due by January 1st; option available through Aug. 31)
10 Installments: $231.50 per installment (1st and last installments due at registration)

Dress Code
Girls: Navy Blue Atlanta Ballet logo tank leotard, classic or skin tone tights and matching ballet shoes, hair in bun (all hair décor secured)
Boys: White Atlanta Ballet t-shirt, black shorts or tights, white socks, and white ballet shoes
Uniform leotards are exclusively available at the Atlanta Ballet Boutique. Boutiques are located at the West Midtown and Buckhead Centres. Shoes, tights, and other dance supplies are also available in the Boutique. Questions regarding the Boutique can be directed to boutique@atlantaballet.com.
