Covid-19 Policies

For the safety of the AB Company Members and Staff the following requirements for Nutcracker Rehearsals and Performances. Please be aware that all Staff and AB Dancers are fully vaccinated and boosted.


All cast members are strongly recommended to obtain the vaccine.
Cast members are required to provide proof of vaccination status by the start of the rehearsal period on October 2nd.
Cast members not vaccinated will be required to test regularly throughout the run of performances
If your child has asthma or any breathing difficulties with masks, Do Not Audition.

Rehearsal Expectations

Your student must attend ALL rehearsals. Further information regarding rehearsal times and schedules will be available after the audition and casting process.

Your child’s performance dates will depend on casting assignments. This year’s production will run from December 8th-December 27th. Tech rehearsals at CEPAC begin on December 1st-December 7th.

*If you are aware that your child cannot make any of the posted performances, please do not have them audition. There will be no excused absences this year.

*All rehearsals take place at the Michael C. Carlos Centre until we move into the theatre on December 1.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED. This is a TWO-STEP process.

  • 1. Register through the button link below.
  • 2. Download and complete audition form. Bring it with you, completed, to your audition.
  • Due to costume restrictions, height requirements will be strictly enforced.
  • No audition fee required. There is a $150 participation fee for each student cast.
  • Note that there will be an additional cost for costume undergarments.
  • Results will be sent via email within seven days. No phone calls or emails, please.
  • Drop-off is recommended, as the parking lot will be busy and lobby capacity is limited.
  • We cannot guarantee roles to all students who audition.

Audition Attire

  • Girls: Atlanta Ballet logo leotard, tights, and ballet shoes with hair pulled back in a neat bun.
  • Boys: Atlanta Ballet logo uniform t-shirt, tights or shorts, and ballet shoes.
  • Gymnasts: leotard, appropriate shoes
  • Absolutely no jewelry.

Students must be of age by September 1, 2022, to audition.
