The Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education Summer Intensive Program has earned a reputation for excellence with a challenging, comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes strong technique, artistry, and performance. Led by Centre Director John McFall and Centre Dean Sharon Story, the summer programs are dedicated to helping each individual student maximize his or her training experience and goals. Students are mentored by outstanding faculty, Atlanta Ballet Company members, and master guest teachers from such distinguished venues as the Alvin Ailey School, Broadway, ABT, and the Danish Royal Ballet. One dancer from the 2014 Summer Intensives was selected to join the Atlanta Ballet Company as an Apprentice, nine were selected as Fellowships, and fifteen were selected for the Pre-Professional Division for the season.
The Atlanta Ballet Centre Summer Intensives focus on developing well-rounded dancers by exposing them to a wide variety of disciplines with an emphasis on classical ballet technique. Students will participate in a minimum of four classes each day, in addition to performance rehearsals.
