Division BI
BI level classes are designed around a structured classical ballet class. Students use the ballet barre to learn technique and vocabulary, flexibility, coordination, and confidence.
Division BII
BII level classes are designed around a structured classical ballet class. Students continue to develop technique and vocabulary, flexibility, coordination, and confidence.
Division BIII
BIII Students are promoted according to individual progress in acquiring technique and strength. These classes ensure the student’s mastery of the fundamental movement methods.
Division BIV
BIV level students are promoted according to individual progress in acquiring technique and strength. These classes ensure the student’s mastery of the fundamental movement methods.
Preparatory
Prep level classes provide an introduction to ballet vocabulary and move at quick pace. These classes are designed to help escalate students’ knowledge of ballet so they may join BIV classes.
Pre Pointe
Two ballet technique classes per week are mandatory in order to add a pre-pointe class. Students may advance to pre-pointe with instructor's recommendation only.
Division C
Students are promoted according to individual progress in acquiring technique and strength. C-level classes present the dancers with a more challenging vocabulary.
Division D
Students are promoted according to individual progress in acquiring technique and strength. D level classes present the dancers with a more challenging vocabulary.
Pointe
Two ballet technique classes per week are mandatory in order to add a pointe class. Students may advance to pointe with instructor's recommendation only.
Boys Class
Boys’ classes are available to male dancers ages 6 and up in the Student Division. The Centre believes that these classes are essential in the development of a young male dancer’s technique.
Teen Class
For students ages 13 and up, the Student Division now offers Saturday teen classes in ballet. Only one class a week is required; however, students are highly encouraged to take two or more classes.
Optional Disciplines
The Centre for Dance Education offers optional discipline classes for students interested in Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Tap and Musical Theatre.
