Tuesdays | 7:30-8:30pm with L. Dreiling at the Buckhead Centre
Wednesdays | 6:15-7:15pm with C. Gebhardt at the Cobb Centre
Class Description: Slow Flow is an all-levels vinyasa class emphasizing safe alignment and kindness toward your body and self.
A dancer in the 80s, aerobics fanatic in the 90s, and fitness teacher since college, Caroline considers herself first a student, then a teacher. After kissing goodbye her TV news career and traditional fitness lifestyle, she created FLOW Training - an intuitive type of movement and fitness training that teaches people to walk away from the rigid shoulds and to honor the messages of their own bellies, bodies, hearts, and minds. She studied at Kashi Ashram in 2010 for her yoga teacher certification approved by the Yoga Alliance and continues to draw from a variety of yoga teachers and movement systems. Caroline believes what happens on the mat is the light-hearted, sometimes sweaty, sparkly, sweet, heavenly stuff. Taking it with you into the real world is where the practice, work, and magic truly begin.

Class Description: Fusing traditional vinyasa methodology with contemporary dynamic flow, this uplifting yoga practice integrates breath and movement, inner and outer alignment and strength, and flexibility accompanied by great music. Open classes appeal to students of all levels, but some prior yoga experience is suggested.
Alyson Brock, a Georgia native, began dancing as a little girl and has been driven by her impulse to imagine, create, and express ever since. In 2006, Aly discovered Ashtanga Yoga through her teacher Lori Gualtieri, who studied directly from Pattabhi Jois at The Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India; and her life has been forever changed through her yoga practice. "Yoga is quite literally a physical manipulation of the body to reach the spirit. In yoga, I am able to build long, lean muscle through strength and flexibility enhancing postures. The effects of a strong flowing practice also provides the cardiovascular benefits without the negative impact associated with traditional cardio. The reason I practice yoga however, is that when I address the most fundamental concept of connecting with the breath through these movements and poses, I reach a highly focused state of mind that benefits and brings clarity to all areas of my life." A certified 200 hr RYT with Yoga Teacher Alliance, Aly has been involved in personal wellness for most of her life through dance. She loves music (as you will see in her classes) and is a passionate member of the local arts community. Aly brings a compassionate and open heart to her vinyasa flow classes, as well as a since of humor and adventure, and thinks the best quality an instructor can have is authenticity.
