Join local dance-makers for Dance Chance Atlanta at Atlanta Ballet!

WonderRoot is proud to present Dance Chance Atlanta, a new program that seeks to provide a platform for Atlanta choreographers and dance artists to showcase, develop and experiment with their work.  Dance Chance Atlanta is a monthly showcase of fresh work by three local dance-makers that concludes in an artist talk-back led by a guest moderator.  It will be housed in Studio 1 at Atlanta Ballet’s Michael C. Carlos Dance Centre the first Saturday of each month, providing an enticing empty box for artists to fill with their vibrant ideas.  Inspired by Dance Chance Chicago, Dance Chance Atlanta will adapt to the strengths and aspirations of Atlanta’s thriving arts community.

To kick off Dance Chance Atlanta we will be placing four bowls throughout the city where artists can drop their names—at WonderRoot, Atlanta Ballet, the L5P Community Center and Octane Westside.  Anyone can drop in his or her name, whether an experienced dance-maker, first timer or artist wanting to experiment. Interested artists should drop their names, emails and phone numbers in one of the four bowls by February 4th.

Inquiries from participating artists should be directed to Sean Hilton: seananthonyhilton@gmail.com.
