A Centre for Dance Nutrition Approved Recipe in Honor of Michael Pink’s Dracula

Emily Cook Harrison, MS, RD, LD and Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Nutrition Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, has developed a healthy recipe in honor of Michael Pink's Dracula* that runs February 8 - February 16!

Quick and Easy Winter Cabbage Salad


This recipe is delicious, and studies show it will repel vampires. It might not be the best first date food because of the garlic, but it is so tasty and very healthy. 

Ingredients:
1 medium head of purple cabbage chopped in bite-sized pieces
2-3 tbs sesame seeds

Dressing: Whisk together the following
2 tbs organic canola oil
2.5 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs apple cider vinegar
1 tsp tumeric
¼ tsp crushed red chili pepper flakes 
3 (yes 3) medium cloves fresh garlic

Combine cabbage, sesame seeds, and dressing in large bowl. Mix well and serve cold.  If you have time, allow to marinate for 20-30 minutes, but marinating is not essential.
